During our time here in Jeffery’s Bay, serving has looked a little different. It was less kids ministry than Eswatini but more behind the scenes. I have learned so much that the Lord uses everything even the behind the scenes to make His will be done. Ultimately He will use it all for His good. Pieces of the puzzle have to be put together before the puzzle will be complete and seen. We are putting puzzle pieces together and it’s okay we aren’t seeing the full picture because we trust that the Lord is using us for His will. The past two weeks, we have been serving with Beats and Books! This is an after school ministry that helps with academics, music, and social programs. They focus on math, english, natural science, violin, guitar, piano, coding, chess, dance, bible class, and a few others. Last week, since the students were on holiday break we helped with preparing the school and the classrooms. We organized, cleaned, and figured out new ways that Beats and Books can run effectively. This week the kids came and we were able to start forming connections with the kids, tutoring them, and leading discipleship classes. I am very thankful for this opportunity to teach and serve with Beats and Books. On Friday we shared the story of Esther in a skit, worshipped all together, spent time in prayer, I gave a spelling test, then we played soccer. During worship, the students of beats and books played guitars, violins, piano, drums and sang. It was so cool getting to worship all together!

While we were in Jeffery’s Bay, we have really been able to experience their culture and lifestyle that they have here. Everybody is so welcoming. We have been able to connect with many locals over dinner, at church, and the different places we go. Here people are genuine and want to have raw friendships rather than surface level. I am thankful for all of the friendships we have built and the different ways the Lord has been using us. We fly out of Jeffery’s bay on Tuesday and then arrive in Georgia, USA for debrief on Wednesday. Then we will have debrief and leave on friday. I’m so thankful for this team, for what the Lord has been teaching us, and how He has been using us for His will. Please continue to pray for safe travels as we start our journey back home. Thank you to everyone who has supported us through prayer and financially, I can’t wait to share more about what the Lord has been doing!
