Hi everybody! My name is Sarah and I am going on one of the World Race semester trips to South Africa in May 2022. I am really excited for the growth and preparation God has for me in these 8 months before I go and serve in Africa. This opportunity is going to be so life-giving and I know the days and weeks I am there will be a testament to His glory and will grow me as well. I am so excited to be used by the Lord in whatever ways He has planned. I can’t wait to be used as His hands and feet. I am looking forward to serving the people there and getting to learn their culture. For those of you who do not know me, I was born and raised in Cedar Park, Texas and I now live in College Station, Texas. I am a senior education major at Texas A&M University. I am 21 years old. My whole life I have known God and continue to grow in my relationship with Him. I can look back on my life and see how God was always by my side through everything I went through. God has never left me and has always given me strength to follow His will. I am excited to continue to follow God’s call for my life and where He leads me in each season. His purpose and plans are far better than anything I could imagine. Since I was 8 years old, I have gone to Camp Allen. In the past three years, I have served all summer on the summer staff at Camp Allen. Here and with this community, I have grown tremendously in my faith and learned what Christ-centered relationships look like. I am also involved with Sigma Phi Lambda at Texas A&M University. This is a Christian sorority that I have been part of since my freshman year of college. Through this organization, I have served as a prayer group leader and as a new member educator.  I love spending my free time outdoors and with my family and friends.

Mission trips are very important to me. During middle school and high school, I attended mission trips either internationally or in the United States. I have loved serving others and growing throughout each one of these experiences. Those experiences were so special to my heart and I know that I want to continue serving in this way. God has been preparing me and calling me to apply through the World Race to go and serve this summer in Africa. At first, I was filled with fear that I was not good enough. Yet, through lots of prayer and from conversations with family and friends, I have realized two huge things. 1. That God calls the unequipped to do His will. 2. There is so much growth that comes when you are not in your comfort zone and you are forced to endure change. I decided to follow where I felt God was calling me to apply to the World Race. I am so excited to be used as the Lord’s hands and feet in Africa.

I’m so excited for you to come alongside me on this crazy, amazing journey called the World Race! I can’t wait to see how He uses me to further His kingdom, how He teaches me, and how He grows and changes me! With that being said, I ask that you would continue to keep me and my squad in your prayers as we prepare for this new season as well as encouraging me along the way.

Thank you all so much!
